Jian Guo
My name is Jian Guo, I am currently an Associate Professor (with tenure) with School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. My research interests focus on symmetric-key cryptography, especially cryptanalysis, design and implementation of (lightweight) hash functions, block ciphers, authenticated encryption schemes, and their applications such as message authentication codes. As such, I lead the Cryptanalysis Taskforce research team at NTU, publish papers, give talks, and also actively serve the community. My team and I have won several open competitions on cryptanalysis on various symmetric-key cryptography standards.
I am constantly looking for PhD candidates (refer to this page) and Postdoc Research Fellows on both symmetric-key cryptography and privacy-preserving technologies, feel free to contact me for more information.
